Saudi Arabia Unveils Plans for 2034 FIFA World Cup

Saudi Arabia revealed its plans for the 2034 Men's FIFA World Cup on Thursday, Aug. 1 as the country prepares to be officially announced as the host in the upcoming months. 

The Kingdom will develop 15 stadiums for the World Cup across five cities. The football tournament will be hosted in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha, and NEOM

All the stadiums will have 40,000 seats each to meet the requirements of FIFA. 

Riyadh will host the opening and final matches of the tournament at the King Salman Stadium, which will host 92,000 spectators. 

Saudi Arabia will be officially confirmed as the host of the 2034 FIFA World Cup at the FIFA executive meeting in December this year. 

The Kingdom has revealed that it is ready to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034 during any month of the year. 

The country has also prepared to have 230,000 rooms available across the five host cities for the football teams and fans. 

Saudi Arabia has been chosen to host the 2027 Asian Football Cup and the 2029 Asian Winter Games at NEOM.
