Qatar's Embassies Abroad Organize Various Events to Promote World Cup

A number of diplomatic missions of the State of Qatar abroad have organized various events to promote the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In Bern, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Swiss Federation held a reception in the context of promoting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, in the presence of many officials, parliamentarians, media professionals and athletes, in addition to representatives of the International Football Association and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Their Excellencies heads of diplomatic missions and members of The diplomatic corps accredited to Switzerland, especially whose teams will participate in the tournament.

His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Jaham Al Kuwari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Swiss Confederation, delivered a speech at the ceremony, stressing the role that football plays in building bridges of communication between different peoples and cultures.

In Ankara, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Turkey organized a promotional event for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The event was attended by HE Dr. Mehmet Kasapoglu, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Nasser Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Turkey, and a number of officials, heads and representatives of the Arab diplomatic corps accredited to Turkey.

The event included various sports activities, in honor of orphans.

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Turkey, in a speech on this occasion, expressed his pride in hosting the tournament, stressing that this occasion does not concern Qatar alone, but football fans all over the world.

His Excellency pointed out that Qatar's hosting of the tournament is the first in the Middle East, and said, "We promise the world to organize a distinguished World Cup," noting that the activities and events organized by the embassy are part of the promotion of the tournament, and he invited the Turkish people to visit the State of Qatar and enjoy attending this Historic event.

In Manila, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines held a party in Mandaluyong, within the framework of promoting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Mrs. Sarah Duterte, Vice President and Minister of Education of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Mr. Benjamin Abalos, Minister of Interior and Local Government, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, Mr. Ben Abalos, Mayor of Mandaluyong City, and other officials, along with a large crowd Citizens of the city.

At the ceremony, speeches were given by officials, various lyrical and show performances were presented, and souvenirs for the championship were distributed to a number of school students in the city.

It is noteworthy that the State of Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup from November 20 to December 18, amid great global anticipation for the tournament, which is expected to be the most successful and most impressive edition in the history of the World Cup.
