Two Qatari Billionaires Land on Forbes 2025 List

The Forbes World’s Billionaires List 2025 is officially out — and it’s more stacked than ever, with a record-breaking 3,028 billionaires from across the globe. Representing Qatar in this year’s exclusive club? None other than Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani and Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani.

Sheikh Hamad, former Qatari Prime Minister and ex-Foreign Minister, ranked 8th among Arab billionaires and 929th globally, with a net worth of $3.9 billion. Meanwhile, Sheikh Faisal, the powerhouse behind the Qatari Businessmen Association, came in at 1,850th worldwide, holding an estimated $1.9 billion fortune.

The duo’s presence on the list highlights Qatar’s growing economic clout, especially in a year when Arab representation doubled. The Middle East and North Africa region now boasts 38 Arab billionaires across nine countries — almost double from 2024’s 20 — with a combined net worth of $128.4 billion.

Saudi Arabia’s Billionaire Comeback

Another regional headline? Saudi Arabia is back on the billionaire board after a seven-year hiatus, flexing with 15 entries (14 of them fresh faces). Leading the charge: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, reclaiming his crown as the richest Arab billionaire, with $16.5 billion to his name.

The Global Billionaire Scene

On the international leaderboard, Elon Musk zoomed past everyone with a jaw-dropping $342 billion, reclaiming the top spot from LVMH boss Bernard Arnault, who now sits at fifth.

The top five wealthiest individuals are:

  1. Musk ($342 billion)
  2. Mark Zuckerberg, Meta founder ($216 billion)
  3. Jeff Bezos, Amazon and Blue Origin owner ($215 billion)
  4. Larry Ellison, Oracle owner ($192 billion)
  5. Arnault and family ($178 billion)

Oh, and yes — Donald Trump made the cut again, clocking in at $5.1 billion thanks to his media stock boom and crypto side quests.

So whether you’re chasing oil money, startup dreams, or meme stocks, this year’s Forbes list proves the billionaire game is more global — and more Gulf-powered — than ever.
