The 2025 F1 season began with the Australian Grand Prix, which was wet and tough, proving to be a challenge for many drivers. 

The next race in the season is the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, which is scheduled for Sunday, Mar. 23.

Here are the driver rankings ahead of the  2025 Chinese Grand Prix:

  1. Lando Norris (McLaren): 25 points
  2. Max Verstappen (RedBull): 18 points
  3. George Russel (Mercedes): 15 points
  1. Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes): 12 points
  2. Alex Albon (Williams): 10 points
  3. Lance Stroll (Aston Martin): 8 points
  4. Nico Hulkenberg (Kick Sauber): 6 points
  5. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari): 4 points
  1. Oscar Piastri (McLaren): 2 points
  2. Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari): 1 point

The Australian Grand Prix was a crazy race, which featured three Safety Car periods and a total of six DNFs.

The 2025 rookies Isack Hadjar, Jack Doohan, Liam Lawson, and Gabriel Bortoleto struggled to finish the race because of a series of crashes.

Even the experienced drivers Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso could not up on the wet and slippery track.
