Qatar, the reigning back-to-back Asian champions, finds itself in Group A, alongside formidable opponents such as Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, and the UAE. The journey to the World Cup kicks off with this thrilling home game against the UAE, followed by an away match in North Korea on September 10.

The team will host Kyrgyzstan on October 10 before traveling to Tehran for a clash against Iran on October 15. The qualifiers continue with a home game against Uzbekistan on November 14, and a return fixture against the UAE on November 19.

As the qualifiers progress, Qatar will host North Korea on March 20, 2025, and then face Kyrgyzstan away on March 25. The final stretch will see Qatar hosting Iran on June 5, followed by their last group match against Uzbekistan on June 10.

The stakes are high, as the top two teams from the group will earn direct qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place in Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
