The Qatar Grand Prix is back in 2023. It will be whizzing into Doha from Friday, October 6th, until Sunday, October 8th, after a hiatus in 2022 due to the World Cup. It follows Singapore, Bahrain and Sakhir Grands Prix as the fourth full-night race on the Formula 1 calendar, and if you are wondering where to stay during the event or how to get there, this article is for you!

The Qatar Grand Prix 2023 will take place at the 5.4km Lusail International Circuit, which is located around a 30-minute drive north of Doha.

The closest accommodation to the circuit can be found in the rapidly expanding city of Lusail, on the coast about 10 kilometers south. Lusail has several beautiful hotels such as:

How to get to Lusail International Circuit?

Public transportation

For people using the Metro, there will be frequent shuttle buses running between Lusail Metro Station and Lusail International Circuit. The expected shuttle travel time from Lusail Metro Station to Lusail International Circuit may take up to 40 minutes.

Taxi and ridesharing

There will be a designated taxi/Uber drop-off point at the circuit. A taxi from the West Bay area of Doha to Lusail International Circuit will take about 25 minutes.

The Qatar Grand Prix 2023 is the second edition of the F1 race in Qatar after it was held for the first time in 2021 at the Lusail International Circuit, with Lewis Hamilton taking the win for Mercedes in 50 laps, beating second-place Max Verstappen by almost 30 seconds.

This year's Grand Prix will see a full crowd for the first time, with around 50,000 F1 fans expected to watch the race.
