The Launch of "Sheikh Zayed Festival" on November 18

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and with the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, the “Sheikh Zayed Festival” 2022-2023 will be launched on November 18, at Al Wathba region in Abu Dhabi.

The Organizing Committee announced that the festival's activities during the new session will exceed 4,000 events and 750 public performances over 120 days of suspense, as the festival will conclude its activities on March 18, 2023, under the slogan "UAE, The Crossroads of Civilizations."

The committee stated that the festival will continue in its current session to focus on presenting its main message of preserving the national heritage, emphasizing the depth of Emirate civilization, and transmitting it to future generations, as well as its role in strengthening Abu Dhabi's position as a leading tourist and cultural destination in the region and the world.

The new edition of the festival has a rich list of major entertainment events and shows that vary between heritage, culture, and sports, as it will include the Union March, National Day celebrations, and New Year's celebrations, as well as international marches, "Al Wathba Custom Show" competitions, and other events that suit all family members.

Since its inception, the festival has been keen to convey the intellectual and cultural heritage of the Emirates, show the richness of its traditions, and highlight the extent of its diversity by organizing a world-class cultural event capable of attracting citizens of the country, residents, tourists, and visitors.

Annually, the Organizing Committee has been presenting new activities that enhance the festival’s status as one of the best authentic cultural and heritage events of the year that express the identity of the state, as it bears the name of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in recognition of his pivotal role in preserving the authentic Emirate heritage And as a continuation of his comprehensive career in building people on authentic values and passing them on to generations.

Visitors to the festival will enjoy a daily program full of colors of creativity, entertainment, culture, and heritage expressing the cultural heritage of the Emirates and a number of peoples and cultures of the world, through a wide presence of exhibitors in the world, international heritage neighborhoods, as well as pearls of Emirati folklore and heritage, and entertainment and family activities presented to the masses from all nationalities.

The festival will give its visitors thousands of opportunities to win valuable prizes, through many competitions and heritage draws such as the draws of the “His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival”, the Sheikh Zayed Festival for Sailboats 2022, the Zayed Grand Prize for Camels, and the Sheikh Zayed Falconry Festival competitions.
