The First Look of 'Shrek 5' Released, Movie Coming in 2026

If you're still not over your beloved childhood character Shrek, you'll be happy to know that the fifth movie in the Shrek franchise is coming out in 2026!

The teaser of 'Shrek 5' was released, featuring the main characters Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey, with the newest addition to the cast, the ogre couple's daughter.

Mike Meyers has returned to play Shrek, and Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy have also reprised their roles as Fiona and Donkey.

Hollywood A-Lister Zendaya has joined the cast as Shrek's daughter, who is introduced to appeal to younger audiences.

Walt Dohrn, Conrad Vernon, and Brad Ableson have directed the film; the former two are Shrek veterans.

'Shrek 5' will be released on Christmas in 2026, coming after the 2010 film in the franchise 'Shrek Forever After'.

The Shrek franchise is a popular animated film series produced by DreamWorks Animation.

It follows the adventures of Shrek, a grumpy yet lovable ogre, as he navigates fairy-tale worlds filled with humor, heart, and satire.

The series began with Shrek (2001), which redefined animated storytelling with its witty take on classic fairy tales.

It was followed by successful sequels: Shrek 2 (2004), Shrek the Third (2007), and Shrek Forever After (2010).
