Protestors in Washington D.C. cast red dye in various fountains around Capitol Hill because of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the US Congress on Wednesday, Jul. 24.

The videos of the fountains running with red-colored water are going viral on social media. The protestors called for Netanyahu's arrest for his responsibility for the deaths of Palestinians in the ongoing war in Gaza.

Not only was the color red cast in various fountains, but there were also projections featuring calls for arrests, reading "Arrest War Criminal Netanyahu". The red dye was cast in the fountains to protest against Netanyahu's visit to the US Congress.

Protests were held in Washington D.C. earlier on Wednesday to demonstrate against Netanyahu's speech at the Congress.

The Israeli prime minister was welcomed with applause at the US Congress. In his speech, Netanyahu thanked Biden for his support and wished Donal Trump well after the assassination attempt.

He criticized student protestors who have been protesting in the US against the war in Gaza.

Netanyahu also claimed, quoting a US military analyst, that Israel has gone “beyond what international law requires” to avoid civilian casualties in Gaza.

Representative Rashida Tlaib wore a keffiyeh and held a sign that read 'war criminal' and 'guilty of genocide' during the Israeli prime minister's speech.
