Prior to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, aspiring storytellers will have the chance to present their distinctive viewpoints of Qatar through the new program, GOALS, that is being sponsored by the Qatar Institute. Goal Click, Al Salam International, The Sports Creative, and The Generation Amazing Foundation.
Through photography, written and spoken word, and video, a select group of storytellers—from employees and students to artists and football coaches—will share inspiring tales of Qatar's football culture and community. GOALS was just launched this week.
More than 18 different countries are represented by the storytellers, who were selected in partnership with the Qatar Foundation (QF) and Generation Amazing, a FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM legacy project.
Mayan Zebeib, chief communications officer of the Qatar Foundation, said, "We are thrilled to be establishing GOALS alongside Generation Amazing, The Sports Creative, Goal Click, and Al Salam International."
"Through this project, individuals from all around the nation will be able to describe their journey leading up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, from the initial announcement to the tournament itself. The objective is to demonstrate the significance of the entire event for them, their communities, and the country.
"We will give each participant the knowledge and skills necessary to document these encounters through a series of workshops. In the end, our goal with this program is to instruct and motivate the upcoming generation of storytellers.
Throughout the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, which runs from November 21 to December 18, the tales will be shown at QF's Education City and other places. After the competition, the exhibition will travel to important cities and significant occasions around the world in 2023 to share Qatar's World Cup stories and the influence of the competition.
We're happy to see the introduction of GOALS, according to Generation Amazing's Programmes Director Nasser Al Khori. The initiative will make it possible to tell tales that emphasize human relationships and experiences in an incredibly fascinating way.
"At the core of what we do at Generation Amazing is providing a platform for fresh narratives and storytelling. I eagerly anticipate watching these stories come to life all throughout the world.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM has dominated the world of sports news and opinion since 2010, according to Goal Click founder Matthew Barrett. However, the opinions of the locals and expats, men and women, who live and work in Qatar have gone mostly unnoticed. GOALS wants to empower and liberate those individuals to share their own, first-person accounts of their life in Qatar throughout this historic year.
In a way that no one from outside Qatar could, "The GOALS storytellers will deliver a raw and true glimpse at local culture and community. The tales will provide a novel viewpoint and refute common misconceptions and preconceptions about a nation on which everyone has an opinion.
With the Qatar Foundation and Generation Amazing educating community coaches and leaders to assist young people in Qatar in discovering and examining their identities via storytelling, GOALS will also change the future of its own.
