Qatar's Shahd Mohamed Finishes 7th at Paris Olympics 2024

The Qatari team's female sprinter Shahd Mohamed finished seventh in the women's 100-meter freestyle event at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Friday, Aug. 2.

She made her debut at the Olympics this year and recorded a time of 12.53 seconds. 

Other than Mohamed, seven athletes are representing Qatar at the Olympics, including Qatar's star athlete Mutaz Essa Barshim who had won silver medals at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics and a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

At the end of the competition, Shahd Mohamed emphasized that she is determined to return stronger and better to future competitions.
