Qatar Wins Bronze at World Military Parachuting Championship

The Qatar Skydive Team, part of the Qatar Air Sports Committee (QASC) and the Joint Special Forces, clinched the bronze medal at the CISM World Military Parachuting Championship held in Hungary from July 2 to 12. Competing against 33 countries, the Qatari squad ranked third in skydiving, with Belgium taking gold and the U.S. earning silver.

Last year, the Qatari team won gold in the cohesion quadruple parachuting event at Spain’s CISM World Military Championship, showcasing their consistent excellence in air sports. Their recent achievements include setting a Guinness World Record for the largest night formation canopy relative work in October 2022.

The Qatar Skydive Team’s remarkable journey in air sports began in 2008, and their latest victory in Hungary further cements their reputation on the global stage. Interior Minister’s message, relayed by the Amir, underscores Qatar’s commitment to excellence, not just at home but extending to international arenas like Paris.

With 37 participants competing in Zephyrhills, Florida, USA, the Qatar Skydive Team continues to elevate their prowess and bring pride to their nation.
