Qatar Tourism Celebrates Saudi National Day

Qatar Tourism celebrates Saudi National Day during the weekend of September 22-24 through a special package of promotions for the best hotels and entertainment destinations in Qatar, such as the Desert Falls Adventure and Water Park, East Ritz-Carlton Doha Hotel & Resort, and others.

In addition to holding special activities across the border crossing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to welcome visitors coming by land, and hosting entertainment events across Qatar, celebrating the historical ties between the two countries,

Where visitors from Saudi Arabia constitute the largest proportion of the total visitors to Qatar.

Qatar Tourism announced a number of special events and promotions during the weekend, in celebration of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which falls on September 23, and in appreciation of the close historical ties that unite the two brotherly countries.

During the weekend (September 22-24), malls across Qatar will be adorned with the distinctive green national flag of Saudi Arabia.

Place Vendôme Mall, in cooperation with Qatar Tourism, also offers a range of entertainment shows that it launches to celebrate Saudi National Day.

Visitors to the famous shopping center will be able to see the colors of the Saudi flag adorning the "Place Vendome" and the dancing fountain shows.

A group of the best entertainment destinations and hotels in Qatar also offer special promotions, as “Discover Qatar” launched an exclusive offer that allows visitors to book three nights for the price of two nights, and five nights for the price of three nights in a group of the most famous hotels, to suit all tastes and budgets, starting from Grand and luxury hotels and resorts (such as W Doha and Al Messila Hotel & Resort) all the way to small boutique hotels such as Al Azizia Boutique Hotel. This offer can be obtained from 20 to 27 September.

Commenting on the weekend’s festivities, Ms. Haya Al Nuaimi, Marketing and Promotion at Qatar Tourism, said: “Qatar and Saudi Arabia share the same historical heritage and share common values, so this weekend’s festivities and performances include entertainment and activities for families, to join our guests in the celebration on the occasion of the Saudi National Day.”

Volunteers from Qatar Tourism will be present at the Abu Samra border crossing during the weekend to welcome visitors and distribute bouquets of special gifts to everyone on this occasion.

In addition to the delicious boxes of dates, the gift packages will include vouchers that allow holders to “buy one get one free” at some famous theme parks in Qatar such as “Angry Birds World”, Desert Falls Adventure and Water Games Park, Snow Dunes Park, KidZania Doha, Doha Quest.

Visitors will also receive a paper copy of the Qatar Calendar, to encourage them to spend the most enjoyable time in Qatar and to inform them of all the events and activities that they can do during their visit.
