Qatar Temperatures to Rise Mid-March, Says QMD

Get ready for warmer days ahead! The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecasted a gradual rise in temperatures starting mid-March, as Sudan’s seasonal low intensifies over the Arabian Peninsula.

According to QMD, this weather shift occurs when the deepening low-pressure system from Sudan interacts with cut-off lows from Europe, leading to atmospheric instability and a steady temperature increase.

Historically, Qatar’s average daily temperature in March has been 21.9°C. However, past records show extremes, with the highest March temperature hitting 39°C in 1998 and the lowest dipping to 8.2°C in 1984.

With the transition to warmer conditions, residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions as temperatures climb in the coming weeks.
