Qatar National Day '24: Cold Weather & Strong Winds Expected

The Qatar Meteorology Department has issued a weather report for Qatar’s National Day celebrations on 16 December 2024. The day is expected to be relatively cold with slight dust, some cloud cover, and strong winds both onshore and offshore.

Daytime Conditions 

Temperatures during the day will range between 14°C and 21°C, with strong south westerly to north westerly winds. Wind speeds are expected to range from 8 to 18 knots, occasionally reaching up to 26 knots in certain areas.

Colder Nights Ahead 

As night falls, temperatures will drop further, bringing colder conditions. Visibility is expected to range between 4 to 10 kilometers, and winds will remain strong.

Sea Conditions

Offshore, sea heights will range between 5 to 8 feet, occasionally rising to 10 feet. Those planning outdoor activities or sea trips are advised to take precautions due to strong winds and higher waves.

Qatar’s National Day festivities will go on as planned, but attendees are encouraged to dress warmly and stay updated on weather conditions for a safe and enjoyable celebration.
