Qatar Museums has announced an exciting Ramadan program, including fun and educational activities at various museums. 

Qatar Museums' Archaeology Department 

Qatar Museums to Host an Exciting Ramadan Program

The department will host open days on Mar. 1 and Mar. 15 when visitors will get to archaeological sites in Ain Mohammed and Mesaika from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Visitors can interact with archaeologists and learn about the rich history of Qatar.

Museum of Islamic Art  

Qatar Museums to Host an Exciting Ramadan Program

The museum will host a series of activities, the highlight of which will be the thrilling Ramadan Escape Room. 

Interested individuals can register here for the event. 

The Planet Kids Club will host  “Ramadan Stories for Bedtime” by Azhar Abdelrahman for children aged five to 12 years. The session will be scheduled for Mar. 25, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The museum will host guided tours, workshops, storytelling sessions, live performances, and much more for Ramadan. 

Children and their parents will get to enjoy a special session featuring khamis and hares on Mar. 6 from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

There will be a live performance from a musahar, who wakes up people for suhoor during Ramadan, on Mar. 6 from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

If you would like to get rid of the sluggishness post iftar, then participate in the museum's Ramadan Walking Challenge. 

There will be a recognition ceremony for participants as well at the end of it. The challenge aims to promote a healthier lifestyle during Ramadan. 

The walking challenge will take place on Mar. 10, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Liwan Design Studio and Labs

Qatar Museums to Host an Exciting Ramadan Program

The design space will host the Liwan for Good charity event, which will bring together local charities, businesses, and creatives for a good cause.

Dadu, the Children's Museum of Qatar

Qatar Museums to Host an Exciting Ramadan Program

The museum will host interactive activities, cooking classes, and Ramadan-themed video screenings, which will allow children to learn and explore their creative sides. 

These sessions will take place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during Ramadan from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The museum will also host a Garangao celebration at Frjan Dadu, featuring jewellery-making, fanous decoration, and Garangao bag creation.

The museum will host a special Ramadan night featuring traditional performances, art workshops, interactive stations, and live culinary experiences, creating a night of Ramadan bliss. 

Tasweer

Qatar Museums to Host an Exciting Ramadan Program

Tasweer will host a Ghabgha night for photographers and creatives to share ideas and connect. 

There will also be a talk on  “When Subconscious Leads You” with Qatari photographer Moudhi Alhajri.

The event will take place on Mar. 19 at 10:00 p.m.

Ramadan Timings for Qatar Museums 

All the museums and galleries will follow this schedule:

  • Saturday to Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

The National Museum of Qatar and 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will be closed on Tuesdays. 

The Museum of Islamic Art will be closed on Wednesdays. 

Mathaf: The Arab Museum of Modern Art will be closed on Mondays.
