The bronze medal is Jendoubi's second Olympic medal after his silver medal win at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He also won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships.

The Tunisian taekwondo star was not able to fight for gold at the Olympics because of his defeat in the semi-finals against Park Tae-joon of South Korea.
