The "Feast of Sacrifice," also known as Eid al-Adha or Bakr-id, is the most significant holiday in the Muslim calendar.  The term "Grand Eid" (Al Eid Al Kabeer) may also be used to refer to the celebration.

This holiday honors Prophet Ibraham's willingness to give up all for God and is observed across the Muslim world.

For those celebrating Eid-Al Adha in Qatar, here's a list of places one can visit during the long break in the month of June.

In contrast to Doha's striking contemporary architecture, the Souq Waqif, which was constructed on the site of the city's century-old commercial bazaar on the banks of the Wadi Musheireb is totally a different and old construction. Spices, handicrafts, traditional clothing, and souvenirs are all available in the souq.
