Expo 2023 Doha is the first A1 International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in Qatar, the Middle East and North Africa. With the theme "Green Desert, Better Environment," Expo 2023 Doha is set to make history while helping the planet. 

It will also reinforce that "climate, water and soil are indispensable and endangered resources."

Expo 2023 Doha is set to be one of the largest international events of the year, with pavilions from nearly 80 countries. It is expecting more than three million visitors.

When is Expo 2023 Doha happening?

Expo 2023 Doha is set to take place from October 2nd, 2023 to March 28th, 2024 for a period of 179 days.

It was originally scheduled to be held from October 14, 2021 to March 17, 2022 but was then rescheduled to 2023 due to COVID-19.

Where is Expo 2023 Doha taking place?

Expo 2023 Doha will be located in Al Bidda Park, a few steps away from Corniche Street, situated between the West Bay and Doha Port. 

There will be 1.7 million square meters of space dedicated to the event.

The "Green Desert, Better Environment" theme has been chosen to inspire visitors by proposing solutions to promote a prosperous green life in the desert.

Expo 2023 Doha will have four sub-themes; Modern Agriculture, Technology and Innovation, Environmental Awareness and Sustainability.

Modern Agriculture focuses on four topics:

• enhancing farmers' role
• bridging knowledge and technology
• ensuring coordination solutions
• promoting permaculture

Technology and Innovation focuses on four topics:

• hands-on experience
• rainwater harvesting
• alternative energy solutions
• urban greenery and urban farming

Environmental Awareness highlights three areas:

• affiliation instead of education
• foodprint
• perma-gardening

Sustainability has three pillars:

• economic invest in innovative agricultural technologies
• social establish the connection of people with nature to raise awareness
• environmental transformation of dry and arid land into agricultural areas and forests
