Best Buddies Challenge Qatar 2022 on December 15th

The Best Buddies Challenge Qatar 2022, a cycling event to raise money and bring awareness to disabilities, will take place on December 15 as part of the FIFA World Cup's sustainability and inclusion theme. Qatar Creates, in collaboration with Best Buddies Qatar, the Qatar Cycling Federation, and the Qatar Investment Authority will host the event.

The two-phased cycling event will take place at Lusail Multipurpose Hall, and all profits will be given to the Al Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities.

H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani supports Best Buddies, which joins forces with international cycling competitions where professional cyclists and local cyclists compete for a joint prize. The 60km ticketed race, which is available to the general public and the local cycling community, will start at 7 am, while the 5km race will only be attended by VIPs and celebrities.

H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa commented on the occasion, saying: "In this momentous year, we are thrilled to bring the Best Buddies cycling event to Qatar to raise significant sums and reinforce our commitment to the inclusion and welfare of persons with disabilities throughout the country. The Al Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities is just one of the outstanding organizations that our community supports in its commitment to bettering the lives of persons with disabilities. We are constantly looking for meaningful ways to participate in this vital conversation."

According to Anthony Kennedy Shriver, founder, chairman, and CEO of Best Buddies International, "Best Buddies is incredibly honored to partner with Qatar Creates, Qatar Investment Authority, and Qatar Cycling Federation to host the organization's inaugural Best Buddies Challenge: Qatar in partnership with our friends from Shafallah."

On November 24, 2022, Best Buddies ticket registrations open and are only available through the Best Buddies Challenge Qatar website. The One Pass offers local and international audiences the opportunity to enhance their cultural experience during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
