Application For Volunteering in The World Cup Qatar 2022 Closes Soon

The journey to apply to volunteer in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and join 20,000 people, is nearing to its end, as the registration window closes this July.

A few days ago, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy announced through its Twitter account on July 7 that there are a few weeks left to close the application period, bearing in mind that the completion of the selection of all volunteers will be at the end of next September, according to a previous statement by Nasser Al Mughaisib, Director of Volunteering Strategy at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.

On March 22, the FIFA Volunteer Program was launched, and the door for submissions was opened to select 20,000 volunteers from around the world to support the operational aspects of the tournament.

According to the Legacy Committee website, in addition to working with volunteers from around the world and learning from the skills and experience of sports professionals, the volunteers will also receive a certificate, a gift, and an Adidas-branded uniform.

According to the website of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, 3 conditions must be met for participation:

1- Over the age of 18 - however, you can apply to participate if you are currently 17 years old and will turn 18 by October 1.

2- Able to commit at least 10 shifts during the tournament.

3- Able to speak English.

1- Create (or login) a FIFA Volunteers community account.

2- Choose the tournament: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

3- Complete the application form (you will need your Qatari ID or passport, and a high-quality photo of yourself).

4- Your request will be considered - FIFA is seeking to put together a team of 20,000 volunteers to host an impressive FIFA World Cup™.

5- You will be contacted at any time So, don't forget to check your email regularly.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy stresses in its FAQ that all volunteer roles at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ are unpaid but are an opportunity of a lifetime to participate in the biggest football event in the world. However, volunteers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ will receive exclusive gifts such as a uniform, gain valuable experience for years to come, and be able to make new friends from all over the world.
