Khaled Al-Nama, the Official Spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, confirmed that Qatar's readiness in terms of infrastructure and hosting the World Cup is close to 100%, and only the matter of the fans' experience remains.

And regarding the rumor that government departments will be off during the World Cup, Al-Nama said: “This matter is up to each institution, if it sees that the employees’ access to their workplace will be affected, it will have to find an appropriate wording, but the work must continue, and what we have experienced from the COVID-19 pandemic trained us to work from home and gave us scenario available for remote work.”
On the infrastructure of roads and streets, Al-Nama said: “The scope of our work in the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy is related to the World Cup stadiums and training grounds, and they have been fully completed.”
He added that there is coordination between the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy and some authorities such as Ashghal, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Traffic Department regarding road closures and infrastructure developments.
The official spokesman emphasized the Arab character of the World Cup through the final draw ceremony and the integration of Arab music and Qatari folklore, as we witnessed the Arab component in all the parts of the draw ceremony and referred to the daily communication with the International Football Association (FIFA).
