Zeeena Initiative is Launched Under Slogan "Let's celebrate”
Under the slogan "Let's celebrate," the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar launched the Zeeenah initiative with the goal of beautifying and embellishing the exteriors of businesses, educational institutions, and real estate, as well as plazas, parks, and public facilities, in preparation for Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
This is done in collaboration with the Central Municipal Council, Ministry of Municipality, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Ministry of Culture, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, and Qatar Museums. On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, a news conference was held in the offices of the Public Works Authority to announce the launch.

What does Zeeenah stand for?
The initiative aims to draw attention to the celebratory activities taking place in advance of hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022 and to encourage public and private organizations, educational institutions, municipalities, and local residents to express their joy and spread awareness of this significant event.
The initiative consists of two main activities: the first is a competition for three categories across the nation to decorate their facilities in a way that reflects the sporting event, and the second is the participation of all people, including citizens and residents, in decorating their facilities or their residential units.
The Competition
Participants in the program will have the option to submit applications in one of three categories, which include municipalities, government and private organizations, schools, universities, and kindergartens. For each of the following age groups (kindergarten, primary, preparatory, secondary, and combined schools), the top three schools and kindergartens will win cash prizes.
The financial stakes are 40,000 Qatari riyals for first place, 30,000 Qatari riyals for the second, and 20,000 Qatari riyals for third. While the top three finishing universities will each get cash prizes worth 60,000, 50,000, and 40,000 respectively. Additionally, homeowners and citizens are encouraged to participate by decorating their homes, and images of their participation will be shown on selected platforms with an electronic certificate.
Additionally, those photos and participation will be preserved as a memento of this occasion. Municipalities, private businesses, and the government will be recognized with plaques and memorial shields.
How to take part
Visit the initiative's website and follow the instructions for registering. Until their participation is approved, interested community members must abide by all terms, conditions, and guidelines of the initiative.
How to sign up
There are two steps in the registration process:
Step 1: This is the pre-implementation phase where participants can offer descriptive, visually illustrated decoration suggestions.
Step 2: The competitor will be called to begin the implementation process after making sure that there are no requirements that have been broken, and the final submission of the participant images will then be forwarded for review by the jury members.
