The Saudi national team did not reveal the extent of the seriousness of the injury, but there are press reports indicating that the player suffered a fracture in the jaw and facial bones, and therefore he will miss the next two matches against Poland and Mexico.

According to Saudi press reports, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi crown prince, ordered the transfer of Yasser Al-Shahrani on a private plane to Germany for urgent treatment.

For its part, the Qatari "Al-Kass" channel confirmed that Fahd bin Nafel, president of the Saudi club Al-Hilal, visited the Saudi national team camp in Qatar in order to check on the condition of Yasser Al-Shahrani.

Bin Nafel confirmed to the Qatari channel that the player's injury is not serious, and he is in good health, refusing to reveal any details.

Al-Shahrani was not the only one injured in the match, as his colleague Salman Al-Faraj, the midfielder, was seriously injured in the thigh, according to several press reports.

"I think that Al-Faraj will not be able to play any other match in this tournament," Renard, the coach of the Saudi national team, said during the press conference after the match.

Al-Faraj was seen using a crutch after the match.

It is worth noting that the Saudi National Team achieved a historic victory over Argentina, 2-1, in the match hosted by Lusail Stadium, the stadium that can accommodate 80,000 spectators, and which will host the World Cup final on December 18.

Argentina star Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a penalty kick.

Before Saleh Al-Shehri equalized the score in the 48th minute.

And at the 58th minute, Salem Al-Dosari blew up the stands of Lusail Stadium by scoring the second goal with a wonderful shot.

Thanks to this historic victory, the Saudi national team topped the Group C table, taking advantage of Poland's 0-0 draw with Mexico

Here are some numbers inspired by the historic Saudi victory:
