New Zealand won the Women's T20 World Cup group stage match against India by 58 runs on Friday, Oct. 4 at the Dubai International Stadium in the UAE.

New Zealand batted first with Sophie Devine scoring 57 runs, which led her to secure the 'Player of the Match' title.  Georgia Plimmer scored 34 runs and Suzie Bates scored 27 runs, contributing to the team's score of 160 runs along with Devine in 20 overs. 

The Indian team tried to outdo their opponents, but they were only able to score 102 runs because they got all out in 19 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur scored 15 runs, Jemimah Rodrigues scored 13 runs, and Deepti Sharma scored 13 runs, contributing to the Indian team's overall score. 

New Zealand's Rosemary Mair secured four wickets, Lea Tahuhu secured three wickets, and Eden Carson secured two wickets, which helped the team win the match. 

India's next match is against Pakistan, which is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6, while New Zealand's next match is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8.
