Qatar Calendar House (QCH) has announced that Eid al-Fitr 2025 is expected to begin on Sunday, March 30, marking the first day of Shawwal 1446 AH.

The prediction is based on astronomical calculations conducted by QCH experts. According to Executive Director Eng. Faisal Al Ansari, the crescent moon for this year’s Shawwal (the 10th lunar month) will be born on the evening of Saturday, March 29, at 1:58 pm Doha local time (10:58 am GMT).
While the official Eid date will be confirmed by moon sighting committees, astronomical forecasts offer an early indication for planning celebrations, holidays, and travel.
