A tornado differs from a tropical cyclone in that the first is an air column that descends from the base of violent thunderstorms, and is accompanied by strong winds that may reach speeds of more than 200 knots.
According to a previous post on the meteorological account via Twitter, a cyclone originates in the waters of warm seas while the tornado forms on the land surface, and while the diameter of the tropical cyclone reaches hundreds of kilometers, the diameter of the tornado often does not exceed one kilometer.
