UAE Residents Can Expect a 6-Day Long Weekend Soon

We’ve enjoyed a great 5-day long weekend for Eid Al Fitr and to be honest we want more! There’s another long weekend ahead and here’s when it’s expected. UAE residents can expect a 6-day long weekend after 10 weeks, around Monday, July 19 on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

As always, the dates are subject to moon sighting and have to be confirmed by the UAE moon-sighting committee.
The dates are as follows

Eid Al Fitr | 29-3 | Ramadan-Shawwal | 1442 |
Arafah Day | 9 | Zul Hijjah | 1442 |
Eid Al Adha | 10 to12 | Zul Hijjah | 1442 |
Islamic New Year | 12 | August | 2021 |
Prophet Muhammed's (PBUH) Birthday | 21 | October | 2021 |
Commemoration Day | 1 | December | 2021 |
UAE National Day | 2,3 | December | 2021 |
Holidays for the public sector will be announced by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, while holidays for the private sector will be confirmed by the Ministry of Human resources and Emiratisation. Official holiday dates will be confirmed by authorities closer to the expected dates.
If the dates are confirmed as predicted, then the private and public sector employees could get to enjoy 4 days off plus the two day weekend! so that’s July 19 till July 24.
