Former US President Donald Trump will head to the Middle East next month for a three-country visit, according to White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt.
The trip, scheduled from May 13 to May 16, will include stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. It marks Trump’s second overseas visit since returning to office and follows his planned appearance at Pope Francis’s funeral at the Vatican this Saturday.

A Familiar Start in Riyadh
Trump’s stop in Saudi Arabia mirrors his 2017 visit, when he made Riyadh his first foreign destination as president. This time, the groundwork for the visit has already been laid, Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat was in Washington earlier this month to discuss preparations.
The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also made headlines earlier this year by pledging to invest $600 billion into US trade and business, a bold move that could strengthen economic ties during Trump's visit.
What’s Next?
While details of Trump’s meetings in the Gulf haven’t been revealed, the trip is expected to focus on regional security, trade, and diplomacy. With tensions in the Middle East on the rise and global interest in US-Gulf relations growing, all eyes will be on this three-day tour.
