The 1982 FIFA World Cup, the 12th tournament in the history of the FIFA World Cup was held in Spain from June 13 to July 11, where Spain was chosen to host the tournament after Germany withdrew.
The tournament witnessed the participation of the first Arab Asian team, the Kuwait national team, and witnessed the participation of the Algerian team for the first time in its history.
