Swift's new achievement has ended the three-year dominance of Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny at the top of the list.
Swift has had over 26.1 billion streams since Jan. 1, 2023, according to Spotify Wrapped.

The star expressed her gratitude for the honor on X, by saying "Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you."
Swift also stated, "Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me."
The star has announced the release of her song 'You're Losing Me (From the Vault)' on streaming services to celebrate this new milestone.

Spotify has also included some changes on its platform to celebrate Swift's milestone.
When fans listen to Taylor Swift's music on Spotify, the progress bar will change colors, corresponding to the 'era color'.
