The demonstrator was confirmed to be part of Kendrick Lamar's halftime show and has now been banned for life from all NFL stadiums and events.
The protestor was in an all-black outfit like the rest of the dancers during the half-time performance of Lamar's song 'tv off'. He held up a combination of Sundanese and Palestinian flags, which had 'Sudan' and 'Gaza' written on them with hearts made next to them.
The demonstrator was first standing on the car that was on stage, but he eventually ran to the field when the security personnel came to pull him off the stage.
New Orleans-based artist Zül-Qarnain Nantambu identified himself to various news outlets, saying he was part of the production team and wanted to raise awareness about Israel's war in Gaza and Sudan's civil war.
Nantambu was detained by security but has since been released. In a conversation with Al Jazeera, he said, "I wanted to show solidarity to those afflicted by this and their families and loved ones that they are being remembered here in America."
When asked about his career being affected by this protest, Nantambu said, "I fear God, I don't fear man".
