Sheikh Mohammed Supports Saudi Arabia's Bid to Host Expo 2030

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today a phone call from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia, during which he expressed his thanks and appreciation for the UAE's support for the Kingdom's bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman hailed the success of Expo 2020 Dubai, wishing the UAE and its people further progress and development.

For his part, Sheikh Mohamed wished full success to the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its bid to host the global fair, stressing that the UAE is keen to provide all support to ensure the Kingdom's efforts to host this global event produce the desired results. "It will be a success fo us all," His Highness said.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed his full confidence in Saudi Arabia's ability to achieve this goal.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced UAE's support to Saudi Arabia's bid for Expo 2030. 

He also said, "The effects of the Expo will extend for years, and the success of the Kingdom is a success for the whole region. All the best to my brother, (Crown Prince) Mohammed bin Salman, in this project."

Expo 2030 will take place from October 1, 2030, to April 1, 2031. The theme proposed by Saudi Arabia is "The era of change: Leading the planet to a foresighted tomorrow."
