The second day of Formula 1 pre-season testing in Bahrain, ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix 2024, saw Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr. as the fastest driver on timesheets.

Sainz topped the timesheets and became the first driver to breach the 1m30 barrier with a 1m29.921s.
Redbull's Sergio Perez fell to second with a lap time of 1m30.679s, while seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton climbed to third with 1m31.066s.
McLaren's Lando Norris pushed to fourth, while Daniel Ricciardo ranked fifth.
Sainz's teammate Charles Leclerc fell to the sixth position and he was followed by Aston Martin's Lance Stroll and Alpine's Esteban Ocon.
Kick Sauber's Valtteri Bottas ranked ninth, while Norris' teammate Oscar Piastri ranked tenth.
Ricciardo's teammate Yuki Tsunado was the slowest of the 17 F1 drivers during the second day of pre-season testing.

All drivers from Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Alpine will be participating in the third day of the F1 pre-season testing.
The same goes for other teams except Williams for which Alex Albon will be driving only.
The third day of the F1 pre-season testing is the last opportunity for the F1 teams to collect data before the F1 season begins in Bahrain on Feb. 29. with the Bahrain Grand Prix 2024.
