Second Batch of Qatar-Based Medical Team Arrives in Syria

The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) announced that a second medical team had flown to Syria to perform complex surgeries on injured survivors of the deadly earthquake that hit the country on February 6th.

The medical team of 13 doctors consists entirely of volunteer professionals who have high expertise in dealing with complex cases.
The second batch will join the first batch of eight doctors sent who are currently performing delicate surgeries in Syrian hospitals.
Over 35,000 people died from the 7.8-magnitude quake that struck Southern Turkey and Northern Syria on Monday, February 6th.

The two deadly earthquakes, which are considered the most powerful quakes in the region in recent years, left thousands of people homeless.
