Saudi Arabia is classified among the top 10 coffee-consuming countries according to a recent statistic which revealed that the consumption of coffee by Saudis is estimated at about one billion riyals annually, and the quantities imported annually to the Saudi markets are estimated at about 70-90 thousand tons; In return, more than 400 thousand coffee trees in Saudi Arabia produce the finest species in the world.
It is noteworthy that coffee is a distinctive cultural drink that has been associated with the Saudi identity since ancient times. Therefore, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in Saudi Arabia has launched a number of programs and initiatives in support of coffee cultivation and the increase in its production.
