With record-breaking numbers in numerous markets, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 continues to enthrall TV viewers across the world.
In Asia:
A total of 36.37 million people watched Japan vs. Costa Rica group match on Sunday, November 27 across Asia. More than 10 million more people saw their remarkable comeback against Germany in their tournament debut, and this audience was 74% larger than the typical home group stage viewership for the FIFA World Cup in 2018.

11.14 million people watched their tournament opener against Uruguay on Thursday, November 24 in Korean Republic. The broadcast's TV audience increased by 97% from the average for group-stage matches at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil in 2014 and by 18% in Russia in 2018.
In Europe:

The same match was broadcast to a national audience of 20.96 million viewers in Mexico. A total of 67.9% of the three channels that carried the game were combined.
This was larger than the highest aggregate rating in the region for any World Cup match played in 2018.
