Doha is gearing up to host three matches of the revamped 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup, with European champions Real Madrid confirmed for the final on December 18.

This date marks both Qatar National Day and the second anniversary of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The new tournament format, replacing the annual Club World Cup, will feature six champions from different continental federations. The tournament will start in September and culminate in Doha, bringing together some of the world’s top football clubs.
While the first two of the five matches will be held in the home teams’ countries, the remaining three will be held in Doha.
The final match, where Real Madrid will play the winner of the Challenger Cup, promises an unforgettable showdown in the Qatari capital.
