Qatar's 'Palestine Duty Relief' Campaign Raises Over QR200M for Gaza

The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) in Qatar organized the 'Palestine Duty Relief' Campaign on the Qatar National Day and raised over QR200 million for Palestinians in Gaza.

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani donated QR100 million to the campaign.
Various notable institutions made generous donations to the campaign, including:
- Qatar Islamic Bank: QR 1.5 million
- BARWA Real Estate: QR 1 million
- Ooredoo: QR 1 million
Ooredoo is going a step further and will allow Ooredoo users to make calls to Palestine without being charged.
Qatar Red Crescent Society's Dr. Mohamed Salah Ibrahim also announced during the campaign that a relief ship, capable of carrying over 30 cargo planes' worth of relief materials would be sent from Doha to Gaza.
Donations to the relief campaign included monetary as well as in-kind donations.
RACA's 'Palestine Duty Relief' Campaign
The fundraising campaign was organized for Qatar's National Day and it was broadcast live on Qatar TV.

People donated by making calls to the program and also at the collection points, which were in Katara Cultural Village, Souq Waqif, and Darb Al Saai.
The campaign will provide food, water, tents, warm clothes, medical supplies, and other kinds of aid to the Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
