Qatar's Health Minister Ranks 3rd Place in Forbes List 2023

Dr. Hanan Al Kuwari, Qatar's Minister of Public Health, has been ranked as the third most influential healthcare leader out of 100 in the Middle East by Forbes Middle East for the year 2023. Forbes Middle East's list includes influential healthcare personalities in the region, such as those in pharmaceuticals, medical facilities, and healthcare investment. The list was published on Monday.
For this year's list, the United Arab Emirates had the highest number of entries with 44, while Saudi Arabia had 26 entries. The list also included eight entries from Egypt.

Dr. Al Kuwari was ranked as the third most influential healthcare leader in the Middle East by Forbes Middle East, after Said Darwazah, Executive Chairman and CEO of Hikma Pharmaceuticals in Jordan, and Shaista Asif, Cofounder and Group COO of PureHealth Group in the UAE.
Other Qatari individuals who made it to the list include Khalid Al Emadi, CEO of Medicare Group (MCGS), Sidra Medicine CEO Iyabo Tinubu-Karch, and Mohammed Miandad VP, Managing Director at Naseem Healthcare.
Additionally, last month, Dr. Al Kuwari was ranked eighth in Forbes' "100 Most Powerful Businesswomen 2023" list.
Due to Dr. Al Kuwari's efforts, Qatar has been recognized globally, including by the World Health Organization (WHO), for the country's successful response to the pandemic.
