Qatar's female business leaders are garnering global recognition, with two prominent figures securing spots in Forbes Middle East's prestigious list of the 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen for the year 2024.

Mira Al Attiyah, CEO and board member of QNB Capital, claimed the 68th position, while HE Sheikha Anwar bint Nawaf Al Thani, CEO of Al Faleh Education Holding, was ranked 74th, showcasing their significant contributions to the business landscape.
Joining them on the list are four other influential Qatar-based businesswomen, including Lana Khalaf, General Manager of Microsoft Qatar (ranked 60); Leonie Ruth Lethbridge, COO and Executive General Manager of Commercial Bank of Qatar (ranked 70); Iyabo Tinubu-Karch, CEO of Sidra Medicine (ranked 87); and Lalla Hanane Drissi, Managing Director of Oracle Qatar (ranked 94).
Forbes highlighted Al Attiyah's instrumental role in Qatar's financial sector, leading QNB Capital to facilitate numerous local, regional, and international financial offerings exceeding $50 billion in the past five years. Meanwhile, Sheikha Anwar's leadership has propelled Al Faleh Education Holding to become the first woman-led Qatari public shareholding company, marking a significant milestone in the country's educational landscape.
The inclusion of these women underscores Qatar's commitment to fostering female leadership and driving innovation across diverse industries. With a total of 104 women representing 27 sectors and 28 nationalities, Forbes' list reflects the region's dynamic business landscape and the growing influence of women in leadership roles.
