Qatari Diar Applauds 'Holiday Homes' Initiative

Qatar Tourism provides free licenses for real estate to be listed as a holiday home and to be listed on various international platforms as vacation homes.
"The State of Qatar has always been creating investment opportunities for investors in all fields, especially in the field of real estate investment," Al Attiyah said. "This initiative, which Qatar has undertaken to tourism to issue licenses for vacation homes, provides an opportunity for real estate holders to benefit greatly from them by providing a new source of income from real estate through short-term rentals through international platforms that provide this service.
In codifying such legislation, which is in the interest of both owners and tenants and preserves real estate investment in a low-risk legal framework, The State of Qatar's leadership contributes to the development of capital movement and investment in society. The initiative is to make these licenses free of charge and through Qatar Tourism to facilitate licensing and registration of real estate holders.
This initiative coincides with the approaching World Cup and offers a great opportunity for real estate holders to benefit from this period, during which the demand for short-term rents within the State will increase significantly.
"I call on landlords who meet Qatar's tourism requirements to avail themselves of this opportunity and to issue these free licenses that allow them to use the properties as vacation homes during the World Cup and beyond," he said.
In his turn, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ansari, Director of Tourist Licensing at Qatar Tourism, said that the "Holiday Homes" initiative reflects the growth of the award-winning hospitality sector, as it allows visitors to rent housing units from real estate owners, which allows them to fully familiarize themselves with the destination, noting that Qatar It offers its visitors many authentic experiences characterized by service excellence.
Al-Ansari explained that this initiative aims to enhance the visitor experience by adding new accommodation options designed for those looking for a distinctive experience, while at the same time giving holiday home owners access to additional income from their unused housing units by leasing them.
Qatar Tourism has announced an initiative to register real estate as vacation homes, issue free licenses for real estate and include them directly on holiday rental platforms. The license can be issued directly through the Qatar Tourism website.
