Qatari citizens who intend to stay in Japan for a period not exceeding thirty consecutive days can enter Japan without obtaining a visa starting from April 2. This was announced yesterday at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in Tokyo on the sidelines of the Qatar-Japan Strategic Dialogues second round.

However, registration at any Japanese embassy or consulate must be done before the trip.

Registration certificates will be issued to Qatari nationals free of charge and will be valid for three years, to waive visa requirements.
The Qatar-Japan Strategic Dialogue was held in Tokyo on January 31 under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan H E Hayashi Yoshimasa.
