On September 23, the International Day of Sign Languages, Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad unveiled the "Jumla Sign Language" project for hearing-impaired persons.
The Jumla Sign Language project is a groundbreaking initiative that aims to improve the lives of people who are deaf or hard of hearing by providing them with greater access to information and communication technology.

The project is the first of its kind in the world and was developed by Mada - Qatar Assistive Technology Center, a division of the Ministry of Social Development and Family.
