Qatar has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting athletes in need by welcoming Palestinian weightlifter Mohammed Hamada as he prepares to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Following his participation in the 2020 Tokyo Games, Hamada, determined to represent his country on the international stage, seeks to secure a universal place in the upcoming Olympics.

Amid ongoing conflicts in Gaza, Qatar has opened its doors to provide Hamada with essential training facilities and support, ensuring he remains in top form for the rigorous competition ahead.

Hamada's arrival in Doha was met with warm greetings from prominent figures in the weightlifting community, including IWF President Mohammed Jalood, Asian Weightlifting Federation President Mohamed Al Mana, and IWF Athletes Commission Chair Forrester Osei.

The Qatar Weightlifting Federation has pledged to facilitate Hamada's training regimen, offering tailored programs, nutritional guidance, and access to medical and physiotherapy services.

In a statement to Inside The Games, Al Mana emphasized Qatar's commitment to supporting athletes facing challenges in their home countries. Al Mana expressed confidence in Hamada's ability to secure a universal place for the Paris Olympics, highlighting the collective effort within the weightlifting community to nurture talent and provide opportunities for athletes worldwide.

Forrester Osei, representing Ghana in international events, commended Qatar's infrastructure and support for athletes, noting the optimal training environment provided by the Qatar Weightlifting Federation. Osei expressed optimism about Hamada's preparation under Qatar's guidance, underscoring the federation's dedication to fostering excellence in sports.
