Qatar Sets New Standards for World Cup Upcoming Hosts

The competition represents more than a month's worth of football matches for Qatar as the host country has ensured that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 leaves a revolutionary social, human, economic, and environmental legacy.
Alfonso Zegbe, Executive Director of Public Diplomacy and Coordinator-General of the Mexican Strategy for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, said in an interview that "the legacy of Qatar is crucial to us. The USA, Mexico, and Canada will host the next World Cup, and Mexico City will host the event's opening ceremony. "

"This (the World Cup) boosts connections with Qatar and is a really strong example of Mexican public diplomacy," Working on a plan to create a strategic alliance between our two nations is something that is very important to us and the government of Qatar, he said.
"With so many Mexican fans present, we are building a bridge and fostering shared cultural and traditional understanding between our people. That is a really special chance. This would strengthen and deepen the relationship between Mexico and Qatar, allowing them to continue developing a strategic agenda," he added.
Additionally, the 2026 World Cup will draw on the experiences Qatar gained in making the FIFA World Cup there accessible for people with disabilities.
Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, SC, and its human and social legacy program, Generation Amazing Foundation, have announced that 27 tents, created by Zaha Hadid Architects to assist and support displaced populations, will be donated to the International Organization of Migration and Qatar Red Crescent as part of the nation's efforts to ensure the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has a lasting social impact, beyond the tournament.
