Qatar Officially to Participate in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka
The World Expo Osaka 2025 will take place in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, and the State of Qatar has signed a contract for official participation in a national pavilion there.
Mr. Nasser Mohammed Al-Muhannadi, Deputy Commissioner-General and Chairman of the Preparation Committee for the State of Qatar's Participation in the Exhibition, and His Excellency Mr. Ashki Haruki, Secretary General of the Japan Association for the World Expo 2025, signed the contract for participation on the Japanese side.

About 82 million people are anticipated to attend the expo, including 3.5 million visitors from outside of Japan, which is projected to draw participation from 150 countries and 25 international organizations.
In a statement released today, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry noted that the committee for preparation and preparation for participation in the exhibition has started working since it was decided to form it with the participation of representatives from various entities across the nation. The ministry added that the committee will handle the necessary preparations for the equipment of participation and the design of a distinguished and high-level pavilion through the committee's periodic meetings.
The Ministry emphasized that the events and activities planned in connection with the exhibition's topic are consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 of the United Nations, which seek to create a varied, inclusive, and sustainable society.
The State of Qatar's participation in the exhibition is a platform to strengthen the ties of trade, industrial, and investment cooperation with the various countries taking part in the exhibition, and this will help to support the economic sectors that support the state's development directions, including the industrial, commercial, and tourism sectors, and it will help to enable Qatari businessmen and companies to forge deep relationships with the other involved countries.
The three sub-themes of "Ensuring the Sustainability of Life," "Improving Life," and "Enhancing Life via Communication" will be highlighted during Expo Osaka 2025, which will be hosted under the umbrella subject "Innovating the Future to Improve the Lives of Communities."
