Tasweer Photo Festival: A Celebration of Belonging
The third edition of the Tasweer Photo Festival will bring together six incredible exhibitions, each exploring the theme of "belonging" through powerful imagery and visual storytelling. Visitors will experience a variety of exhibitions spread across museums, galleries, and outdoor venues in Doha.
The festival’s anchor exhibition, To Look at the Sea is to Become What One Is, curated by Tasweer’s Artistic Director Meriem Berrada, will be hosted at the Fire Station: Artist in Residence. This exhibition explores the journeys of three generations of Arab artists, inviting audiences to reflect on their identity and place in the world through art.
Latin American Art Takes the Spotlight
In a landmark event, Latinoamericano: Modern and Contemporary Art from the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (Malba) and Eduardo F. Costantini Collections will be the first large-scale showcase of Latin American art in the WANA region. Set at the National Museum of Qatar, the exhibition will take visitors on an artistic journey through the continent’s history, featuring key works by iconic artists from 1900 to the present.
