On January 6, 2025, Qatar marked a significant milestone in sustainable mobility with the inauguration of the Turquoise Line in the Lusail Tram network. The event was led by H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Transport, who conducted a detailed tour of the new line's stations, control center, and maintenance facilities to ensure readiness for operations.
Expanding Lusail Tram’s Reach
The Lusail Tram network now covers 19 kilometers with 25 stations across four distinct lines: Orange, Pink, Purple, and Turquoise. The Turquoise Line, the latest addition, connects key areas within Lusail City, offering an efficient and environmentally friendly transportation option for residents and visitors.
