Starting March 1, 2025, businesses in Qatar can benefit from a 100% exemption on financial penalties under a new initiative by the General Tax Authority (GTA). The program, which runs for six months, aims to ease financial pressures on companies while encouraging tax compliance.
Eligibility and Requirements
To qualify, businesses must register on the Dhareeba Tax Portal, update their taxpayer details, and submit all necessary tax returns and financial statements as per regulations. Additionally, they must commit to maintaining full compliance for the next three years (2026-2028) by submitting tax returns and payments on time.

Application Process
Eligible businesses can apply for the penalty exemption through the Dhareeba Tax Portal. Each application will be reviewed individually, with approval notifications sent via the portal.
